One of home's unique features is the laundry room. The cabinets slide up instead of swinging out. And the washer and dryer are custom-set lower for easier access.
The house for the Riojas family is now the biggest on the block.
Wednesday morning, the house will be painted a mustard-gold color to go with the Mediterranean design. Overnight, landscapers planted trees and shrubs and a state-of-the-art security system with alarms and cameras was installed.
Now comes the fun part: Decorating day! Wednesday, the design team will furnish and decorate the home and Thursday, it's time to "move that bus!"
Ty Pennington and the crew will welcome the Riojas family to their new home, and give them their first look inside.
If you want to see this in person, you'll need to park at the Fresno Convention Center parking lot at Inyo and "O" streets downtown and take the shuttle to the site. The shuttle runs through Thursday and will take you to the site from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. It's free, but you are asked to give a canned food donation.
Thursday, two lucky people will get the best view as the Riojas family sees their home for the very first time.
Our own Angelo Stalis picked the lucky winner during a free drawing last night. Beverly Green of Fresno and a guest will be on the bus when Ty Pennington orders them to move it. DeYoung Properties sponsored the event. Hundreds of people entered the drawing at various DeYoung Property sites.
