Statewide, unemployment now stands close to double digits at 9.1 percent. That's up nearly a full percent from last month.
Locally numbers are even worse.
Numbers are up valley wide with Fresno County now standing at 13.2 percent unemployment. That's up more than one percent from last month.
Merced County has the Valley's worst unemployment rate. It stands at 15.5 percent, up more than 2 percent from a month ago.
Tulare County has an unemployment rate of 14.3 percent, up close to two percent.
