Grapevine Open

February 16, 2009 12:00:00 AM PST
After being shut down for nearly 12 hours, the California Highway Patrol has begun escorting traffic over the Grapevine in Southern California. Snow and ice led to the closure of the interstate around 3:30 am Monday. The closure has caused major traffic headaches for thousands of President's Day travelers. But now that it has reopened traffic can resume as normal under the weather conditions.
