Electrolyzed Water

A Santa Monica hotel is going green to keep clean. It's skipping bleach and ammonia and using spray bottles filled with electrolyzed water."You don't smell that air freshener smell that typically in guest room that they fill them in with. Here, you just smell clean," said Zie Zie Senzaki with the Sheraton Delfina Hotel.

The stuff is a simple mixture of table salt and tap water which ions have been scrambled with an electric current. It costs less than a penny a gallon.

Some hotel workers are calling it "the miracle liquid". It's a kitchen degreaser, a window cleaner, kills athlete's foot and you can drink it.

It has been approved by U.S. regulators and scientists claim it is powerful enough to kill anthrax spores without harming people or the environment.
