Restaurant Owner Robbed and Shot in Southeast Fresno

Fresno, CA, USA Severiano Pulido was working inside this Southeast Fresno taco shop when he says the owner, Corina Hernandez was robbed and then shot. Pulido says he and another employee ran to the back and hid. When they came out, the suspect was gone.

Lt. Mark Salazar with the Fresno Police Department said, "During the shooting, there were approximately 5-6 employees and about a half dozen customers inside."

Fresno police investigators say the suspect walked into the restaurant around 11:15 Monday morning. They say the relationship between the suspect and the victim is unknown at this point ... so is the motive ... making it even more frightening for both employees, and people who shop here all the time.

The woman is in serious condition right now. There are surveillance cameras inside the restaurant. Investigators are looking through the video right now ... hoping it will help them track down a suspect.

Suspect's Description: Male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, he was wearing denim shorts and a dark t-shirt. He drove away in a newer grey, Silverado truck, with another male.
