North Korean/Chinese Border Journalist Arrest

Fresno, CA Laura Ling and another woman were on a routine assignment but Ling's father says he was nervous about her trip to the area.

"I went down to L.A. and I said be careful, have a safe trip," said Ling.

"You knew where she was going?"

"Oh yeah, just a very routine assignment to the North Korean-Chinese border to do a story on the refugees."

Both Ling and the other journalist captured, Euna Lee, work for Current TV the online media outlet co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore.

A white house spokesman said Gore has reached out to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for help.
