Deadly Fresno County Accident

A driver misses a curve in the road and falls 200 feet off an embankment landing in the San Joaquin River.The deadly accident happened at Herndon and Dickenson shortly before seven this morning.

CHP said the man did not make the curve and went off the road. Officers said the truck fell about 200 feet into the river below. The truck came to rest upside down and was submerged up to its wheels.

The man who first came across the wreck called for help. He said there was no way for the driver to have survived the crash.

There was a little bit of fog in the area this morning. People who work nearby said there have been a few accidents in the area where drivers miss the curve.
