The Centers for Disease Control found dogs contributed to more than seven times the injuries compared to cats, and that women fell more than twice as often as men. The most at-risk are senior citizens.
The CDC said pet-related falls can be reduced by greater awareness of your pet and its surroundings, and obedience training.
