Madera Police arrested 21 year old /*Jessica Zarate*/ Tuesday morning after they say she dumped her three year old son Angel at a park last Friday. A woman saw the abandoned child eating from a trash can and called Madera Police. Four days went by and no one reported the boy missing. And when police found and arrested his young mother Jessica, they say she admitted abandoning another child ... Two year old Ethan at the friend's house she had been staying at.
Madera County's District Attorney believes this will be an emotionally charged case. Donna Martinez is angry that Angel and Ethan are in a foster home with complete strangers. Even before she moved from Madera to El Paso a year ago Martinez says she had a bad relationship with her daughter Jessica. She desperately wants custody of her grandkids only she says she doesn't have the money to get here or to hire an attorney.
