Coach Accused of Molestation in Hanford

Hanford, CA Word of the allegations came as a shock to league officials. "He was very well liked here, we were very shocked when the allegations came out. I was just floored. I couldn't believe it, he was always so good with the kids," said the league's umpire chief, Ray Beech.

Prosecutors from the Kings County District Attorneys office are not revealing very many details surrounding the allegations and would only say Ross is accused of molesting two girls under the age of 14 over a two and a half year period. "We have no evidence that this case has anything to do with the little league teams," said prosecutor Ty Ford.

League administrators say they do everything they can to protect the children in the program including complete background checks. Even so, parents say Ross' arrest is another example of why they constantly have to worry about who their children are with. "It's just a sticky situation. How do you teach your child something like that, not to trust an adult, let alone a teacher? I don't understand that," said parent Iysis Jones.
