April 7, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Clovis firefighters rushed to put out a house fire that two teenagers first thought was a robber."They thought somebody was breaking in. They heard a crackling sound, it sounded like tapping in the other room. They came out and saw heavy flames and smoke. They then self-evacuated out the bedroom window," said Chad Fitzgerald with the Clovis Fire Department.

16 firefighters from Clovis with assistance from Fresno fire arrived on scene and quickly put out the flames.

Damage is estimated at $175,000 dollars. The teens were not hurt. Their father was at work at the time.
