Dead Body Found While Putting Out Fire

Firefighters discovered a dead body today while trying to stop a brush fire near Parlier and now homicide detectives are working the case.They found a man's body in a field off of Newmark and Third, in Fresno County.

Firefighters found the man when they were checking the grapevines for hot spots after putting out the fire.

Homicide detectives said they're not sure what killed the man or if he's at all connected to the fire.

Crime scene investigators collected clues from the area, and there's a lot for detectives to go through.

Investigators will wait for the coroner's report to determine what killed the victim.
