Car Chase Southeast Fresno

Fresno, CA A man who violated a restraining order tonight had to be rescued by Sheriff's Deputies after he led them on a car chase and then tried to hide in a canal. The chase started at Clinton and bond in Southeast Fresno and after it weaved around highway 41, it ended up back on McKinley at Cedar.

That's where investigators say the suspect jumped into the canal and almost drowned. He needed help from Deputies to get himself out of the canal and once he got out, they arrested him.

They say he broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment, which violated a restraining order.
