The struggling auto industry hasn't had much to celebrate ... but Wednesday, marked a special day for car enthusiasts. It will take much more than a classic car to revive an automaker facing bankruptcy. But the latest version of the Chevy Camaro is bringing traffic to a halt in the Valley.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro shares some of the same markings as the classic 1969 muscle car. This bright red Camaro high in the sky effectively drew drivers to Liberty Chevrolet in Selma.

Auto dealers in the Valley and around the country have struggled mightily so the rebirth of the Camaro is generating some excitement.

The U.S. government has already loaned General Motors 15-billion dollars. GM must restructure by June 1st or be forced into bankruptcy. Pontiac is being phased out as attention is focused on the Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC and Buick brands.

The Camaro Super Sport's V-8 Engine cranks out over 400-horsepower. That red Camaro on a crane is in the process of being lowered to the ground.

Bidding starts at 33-thousand dollars.
