"Legends over Madera" Air Show.

Fighter jets are taking to the skies over the north valley this weekend for the "Legends over Madera" air show.The event opened to the public Friday at the Madera Municipal Airport, where spectators had a chance to watch some of the pilots practice.

The show will feature aerobatic performers, rare world war two bombers, as well as a car show, and other entertainment.

Organizers say this is the largest air show to come to the central valley in more than a decade.

Richard farinelli, airshow sponsor said, "it's really nice, it's good for Madera because the economy right now. Every one of the hotels, absolutely full; from Fresno to Chowchilla."

The activity at the Madera municipal airport continues all weekend. Organizers are expecting up to 30,000 people over the course of three days. .
