Revved Rivalry

Fresno, CA Officers from several law enforcement agencies made their way through this course of tight turns in Downtown Fresno, while speed was important in that competition, another challenge involved trying to go as slow as possible, while still staying on the bikes.

This is the first time the competition was held in Fresno, and organizers say the community can learn a lot by watching the officers.

Sgt. Eric Eide, Fresno Police said, "It's not as easy as it looks. The public gets a chance to see these guys competing; they see what kind of stress these guys can go under."

Awards were given for the top officer in each category, as well as the officer with the best overall combination of speed and control.

In addition to today's competition, Fresno's Traffic Bureau also put on a safety seminar for the public.
