Visit Yosemite for Free!

June 2, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Yosemite visitors are getting a free pass three weekends this summer. The National Park Service is waiving the entrance fees for all national parks on a designated weekend every month, beginning this month.

Free entry is being granted to all 391 national parks across the country on the weekend of June 20-21, July 18-19, and August 15-16.

Officials said it's a plan to help American families struggling with the recession afford a memorable vacation.

The waived fees do not apply to fees charged for camping, reservations, tours or concessions.
