Charter Schools Performance Results

California's charter schools have generated mixed academic performance results compared to schools in other states.                      |   View Report on California Charter Schools   |

The study by researchers at Stanford showed students at California charter schools performed better in reading than students at traditional public schools.

However, performance in math was lower. For students who are low-income, charter schools had a more positive effect on both reading and math compared to their traditional public school peers.
