Officers said the robbery happened at Rambler Road and M Street. They said Mann along with the three other suspects took the victim's iPod, cell phone, wallet and clothing.
Mann is the son of Dos Palos Police Chief Barry Mann.
Merced Police said Nicholas Mann and the three other suspects confessed to the crime during questioning.
The teen is scheduled to be arraigned on robbery and conspiracy charges Wednesday in Merced County Superior Court.
