Lockheed Martin sends out layoffs notices

SAN JOSE, CA Notices were sent to 535 people who all work on a classified defense satellite project that has "changed in scope" and requires fewer people.

The company has told them it will try to find other work for them, but it likely will not be able to accommodate everyone.

The layoffs are scheduled for August.
