Pickup driver hits San Bernardino tour bus, dies

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) San Bernardino police say in a statement released Tuesday that the man in the Dodge pickup flew through the intersection at high speed and broadsided the bus, which was traveling about 30 mph late Monday night.

There were 23 people on the bus, and six of them were taken to a hospital with minor injuries and complaints of pain, police said.

Police say a preliminary investigation shows that alcohol or drugs may have been involved in the wreck.

The name of the man, who was driving alone, has not been released.
