Already suffering from the impact of a slow economy ... the flu outbreak dealt a second, serious blow to Mexico's tourism industry.Hotels, resorts and cruise lines have been going all out trying to entice travelers back ... some are offering huge discounts ... while others are making "flu-free" guarantees.

Whether you're looking to set sail down the Mexican Riviera or lounge on the beach in Puerto Vallarta ... travel agents like Denise Donathan of Winsome Travel say prices to Mexico ... just can't be beat.

"You can do a 7-day cruise for $419 dollars a person ... I mean those are really unbelievable deals," said Donathan.

Mexican hotels are desperately trying to woo back visitors who've kept their distance following the influenza outbreak.

"A lot of the resorts in Mexico and the Cancun area they had to close down cause they don't have enough occupancy," said Donathan.

Hotels are offering room upgrades and free amenities ... luxury hotels are discounting their rates with "welcome back" packages, sometimes up to 50%.

"The lower prices are really peaking people's interest," said Donathan.

Resorts also want people to feel safe ... and some are going as far as offering "flu-free" guarantees ... which means if you get sick during your stay, your next three vacations are free.

Michelle Lowery at Great Vacations says she hasn't seen prices drop this low since September eleventh. Though she says the deals will probably be available through September ... she recommends you book your vacation right now.

The Centers for Disease Control recently lifted its travel alert to Mexico ... relating to the influenza virus.

The alert issued by the U.S. Department of State relating to the increased violence in Mexico, is still in effect.
