Protests in Fresno over the Iran Presidential Election

June 21, 2009 10:34:04 PM PDT
For the eighth day in a row, protests over Iranian's presidential election poured onto the streets of Fresno.

"Long live democracy, long live freedom, long live freedom!"

More than a hundred people stood on the corner of Shaw and Blackstone in North Fresno Sunday. Protesters say these demonstrations have moved far beyond the Iranian election.

Kaejon Ahmadi in Fresno said, "It's not about the election, election is only part of it. Now about the freedom, about killing innocent people, we need the freedom right now!"

Protesters plan to gather again tomorrow night in the same location. They say they will not stop until the protests in Iran stop.
