Michael Jackson Memorial Information

In life, Michael Jackson performed at sold-out concerts. Now in death, there's a run on tickets in Los Angeles, where a memorial for the "King of Pop" will be held next Tuesday.The Staples Center website initially crashed, and reportedly received 500,000,000 hits within the first hour-and-a- half of making tickets available to the public in a drawing.

Tickets are free, but only 17,500 seats are available. Los Angeles police are already concerned about crowds and are urging people to stay home.

Brent Tueheart, Jackson fan said, "Mine said your application has been successfully submitted. I started shouting screaming, doing the whole big fan thing."

ABC News has learned, Michael Jackson was taking a powerful sedative normally given to hospital patients. Many prescription drugs were also found at his rented mansion.

ABC News will have more about the life and death of Michael Jackson, including never before seen home video of his children, on a special edition of 20/20. That's Friday night at 10, right here on ABC 30.

ABC News will air the memorial to Michael Jackson live on Tuesday July 7th starting at 10am Pacific time. The memorial will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Charles Gibson will anchor the ABC network coverage of the memorial.
