Vegetarian diet may make bones weaker

Fresno, CA Researchers in Australia, found vegetarians had bones five percent less dense than meat eaters. The differences were most pronounced in vegans, who don't eat any animal products.

But vegetarians who eat eggs and dairy had the same bone density as meat eaters.

Researchers don't know if the bone differences could lead to a higher risk of fractures or osteoporosis.
