Fowler family escapes house fire

July 5, 2009 11:14:52 AM PDT
A Fowler family was forced out of their home when a fire broke out in their garage Saturday. Fowler volunteer firefighters say the fire eventually spread into the home's attic and another room before they got it under control. They said those parts of the house suffered major damage, and the Red Cross is now assisting the five children and four adults who lived in the home.

No cause has been determined, but at this point, they don't believe fireworks or arson are to blame.
