Homecoming for Lemoore Pilots

July 10, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
A group of pilots who've spent the last 6 months at sea, in the air, and away from their families returned to solid ground in the South Valley. Lemoore Naval Air Station's Strike Fighter Squadrons returned from their deployment aboard USS Stennis Monday afternoon and their wives and children couldn't have been happier.

The squadrons began returning on Friday and included pilots as well as members of an at-sea operations team.

During the six-month deployment, the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group took part in training missions with ally nations in the western Pacific.
