Nicole Parra Resigns

July 15, 2009 11:47:23 PM PDT
Former South Valley Assembly Woman Nicole Parra is quitting the State job that had been created just for her only a few months ago.Back in January, the Governor appointed Parra to be the Director of an Agency aimed at bringing jobs to the Central Valley.

The position paid $128,000 dollars a year.

And her appointment drew sharp criticism from taxpayer groups. Parra announced her resignation Wednesday, but didn't reveal why she's leaving or what she'll do next.

The Governor plans to keep the position unfilled once she leaves at the end of the month.
