Scotti Maldonado, Equality California said "We all have personal stories we can share with people that really creates that connection between us. So it's about changing hearts and minds through telling your story and humanizing yourself."
Leslie Purvis, prop 8 supporters said "I think the gay & lesbian community gets a lot of stereotypes of us, just as we have stereotypes of them and it's always a good thing when we can have a rational conversation."
Gay marriage supporters are spending a lot of time in the valley because about 70 percent of voters here supported prop 8.
