Nine people are without homes because of a late night fire in Central Fresno. The fire started after 9pm Sunday night in the area of Thorne and Robinson, just a few doors down from The Extreme Makeover house.

Crews spent the night mopping up the fire. It started in a vacant home and spread to a four-plex next door.

When fire crews arrived, it was fully engulfed in flames. Everyone made it out safely, but one woman says she lost everything.

"Yeah, but it started so fast we didn't have time to get anything out," said Maricela Mendoza.

Investigators don't know yet what caused the fire.
