It happened just before 1:00 a.m. inside a home on the four hundred block of Northwest First Avenue in Visalia.
Visalia Police say the teen was one of four people, including an adult -- who were playing Russian Roulette.
That's when you put a single bullet into a revolver and take turns pulling the trigger.
Investigators say alcohol played a role ... and they may eventually file criminal charges.
Sgt. Ernie Villa said, "If there's alcohol involved, and if there's an adult there, we need to determine if the adult supplied the alcohol and who furnished the firearm."
Visalia Police say this is the third Russian Roulette death in the area in the last five years. All of those cases involved teens and young adults.
