M&M's Blue Food Dye Heals Spinal Injuries

The same blue food dye found in M&M's and Gatorade could be used to reduce damage caused by spine injuries.Researchers found that when they injected rats with the compound Brilliant Blue "G", rodents who suffered spinal injuries were able to walk again, with a limp.

The only side effect was that the treated mice temporarily turned blue.

Researchers are planning to apply to the FDA for permission to test on humans.
