Fire Threatened Homes in Fresno County Foothills

A wildfire burning in the Fresno County foothills was threatening nearby homes. The fire is 100% contained. About 30 acres have burned in the area of Lodge Road and Whispering Springs Lane near Auberry. 30 homes were threatened.

250 firefighters were called out to the fire while helicopters dropped water from above.

No structures were damaged and firefighters have lifted evacuations warnings for about thirty homes.

Fire officials said two firefighters were injured, but they're said to be doing okay now.

Fire crews will be on scene throughout Thursday night, in case of any flare ups.
