Several Wildfires Burn in California

Fresno, Calif. Authorities lifted an evacuation order as firefighters cleared vegetation around homes in the Big Eddy Estates and Sam Wolfin Springs, a rural area about 160 miles north of Sacramento.

Crews are also fighting blazes in Lassen and Tuolumne counties.

Every hand counts when fighting wildfires in Shasta County. That's why several firefighters from the Valley are headed to the front lines Tuesday.

A 17 member strike team including engines from Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Kern counties and the City of Porterville were already on the road Tuesday. Another 17 member strike team from the cities of Fresno, Clovis, Merced and Atwater, plus... Madera County are assembling and leaving Tuesday afternoon.

The firefighters will get to work as soon as they arrive. A fire spokesperson said firefighters in Shasta County are dealing with gusty winds and temperatures in the 90's.
