2009 STAR results released Tuesday show improvement for Fresno County schools in English Language Arts and Math over the last three years.

Students at Roosevelt High School made positive changes through their Freshman Academy Program.

Teachers at Roosevelt meet twice a week during school and test students every two weeks to meet learning goals.

Superintendent Larry Powell said the entire district is moving in the right direction but there is still a long way to go.
