Former Valley Migrant Worker Goes to Space

When the Space Shuttle Discovery launches into orbit this week, it'll carry an astronaut who was once a migrant worker here in the Valley.The shuttle is on the launch pad and it's cleared for a scheduled launch Monday and seven astronauts will be on board for the space station supply run.

One of them is Jose Hernandez, who worked the fields up and down California in the 60's and 70's. The Stockton native will be the first astronaut to use twitter in both English and Spanish and he'll be sending tweets while he's in space.
