Fire Burns Near Morris Dam

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. The fire broke out around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, in mostly wooded areas. So far, no reports of any buildings being damaged.

But the flames got dangerously close to several emergency crews' vehicles ... forcing them to drive off.

At least six hundred firefighters are helping battle the flames. The LA County Sheriff's Department had to evacuate some campers and hikers.

Fire officials say low humidity and steady winds helped fan the flames.
