Despite the jury's verdict there are some who have questions about the verdict, and some who applaud it.The conviction of course is the talk of the town. It's not hard to find opinions, and despite the jury's verdict there are some who have questions about the verdict, and some who applaud it.

Karen Timmerman said: "Victory. It's a good thing."

Karen Timmerman of Hanford had no doubt's about Dave Hawk's guilt: "No. No." She thought Hawk just looked guilty.

Karen Timmerman said: "When you saw the news and see a smile, a smug smile. Kind of saw him cocky. I don't know, kind of rubbed me wrong."

But others had their doubts about the lack of key evidence.

Mary Ruben of Visalia said: "I'm kind of curious. Where's the body. That's what I'm curious about."

Calvin Ross, from Hanford said: "Maybe he tried to take their money from the trust fund and whatever, I'm not sure, but then again, where's the body?"

Mark Chacon, of Hanford said: "It raises doubt in me. But I'm not a juror, but it does raise doubt."

Jesse Arenivas, of Hanford said: "In my opinion, sometime I want to say yes. Sometimes I want to say no, because it's too many decisions in between."

Despite the questions, most we spoke with, generally felt the jury had spoken.

Burton Ruben of Visalia, said: "The fact they didn't find a body didn't mean it didn't happen. It could have happened."

Marlys Chacon of Hanford said: "Were you surprised they found him guilty? Not really, just too fishy."

Many we talked with felt Dave Hawk was guilty, but were surprised the jury convicted him because of all the uncertainty about what happened to Debbie Hawk.
