El Portal Residents Return Home after fire

Residents have been warned to be prepared to leave their homes again if the fire moves back in their direction.People who left their homes because of a wildfire burning in Yosemite got some welcomed news.

Traffic streamed back into el portal as evacuees were allowed to return to their homes last night.

They were forced from their homes four days ago when a control burn got out of control in Yosemite. 5,000 acres burned. It's more than half contained.

The park service is looking into what happened. Residents have been warned to be prepared to leave their homes again if the fire moves back in their direction.
