Arkelon Hall Opens for the Memphis Tigers

September 6, 2009 12:00:00 AM PDT
Former Edison High and C.O.S. star Quarterback Arkelon Hall got a chance to shine in the national spotlight Sunday as his Memphis Tigers took on eighth-ranked Ole Miss in each team's season opener. The game started well enough for Hall. He completed a screen pass to Duke Calhoun for 16 yards which would lead to a Memphis touchdown. But they would trail 10-7 in the second quarter.

But it went all downhill from there. Hall's pass was intercepted by Fon Ingram and Ingram took it 38-yards the other way for the pick-six.

That made it 17-7 rebels.

Hall finished with 130 yards passing and two picks and Ole Miss pulled away late to take it; 45-14 the final score.
