High Speed Chase in Fresno County

Fresno, CA "She went into a packing house parking lot, made a u-turn and we saw that it was an elderly female driver. Given that she was previously driving at speeds of 80 to 120 miles per hour on 99, we were somewhat surprised to see that type of driver," said Officer Randy Matyshock with the Highway Patrol.

Officers had to use spike strips and ram into her car to finally stop the woman on Blythe and Whitesbridge. It turns out she is 80 years old.

Fresno Police said they were trying to pull her over, but she wouldn't stop and led them on a 40 minute chase to Kingsburg on Highway 99.

The Highway Patrol said she may have believed that strangers and not officers were chasing her.
