Veterans ask for DNA samples for unidentified

A Vietnam veterans group is asking relatives of missing vets to donate DNA samples to the Defense Department, which can try and match them to unidentified remains.

The group says the military has the remains of thousands of soldiers stored in Hawaii.

"What they are is remains that haven't been accounted for, we need American people to give their DNA so these people can come to you and say, 'We found your family member.' Let's give a proper burial," said Sniper, from the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club.

President Obama declared Friday National Prisoner of War, Missing In Action Recognition Day. There are more than 78,000 service members still listed as missing.
