Ryan Mathews Honored by WAC

Fresno, CA Mathews, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif. (West HS), rushed for a career-high 234 yards and three touchdowns in the game against Boise State on Friday night. All three scores came on runs of 60 yards or more. The first two came in the second quarter and cut Boise State's lead to 24-17 going into halftime. The 234 yards ties for the most by any player in the nation this year. Mathews currently leads the country in rushing with 149.0 yards per contest.
