High Speed Rail Run Funding Application Submitted

Fresno, Calif. The money would come from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It would match the money from state and local funds including the high speed rail bond passed by California voters last November.

Governor Schwarzenegger said it would bring about 130,000 jobs throughout California. $466-million dollars would go for the work from Merced to Fresno and $819.5 million dollars for the stretch between Fresno to Bakersfield.
