Tsunami Warnings Canceled in Pacific

WELLINGTON, New Zealand The US Geological Survey reports "7.8" and "7.3" magnitude earthquakes struck east of Australia, near the Vanuatu Archipelago.

Another 6.7 quake struck south of the Philippines about 20 minutes earlier. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center immediately issued a regional tsunami warning. The tsunami warning has since been canceled.

So far, there have been no reports of damages or injuries.
