A new iPhone application could be a savior for people who have a tough time remembering where they put their car keys.Car security company "Directed Electronics" unveiled the new program, called "Viper Smart Start." It lets drivers remotely lock, unlock, and even start their cars, all with their iPhone. And since it uses cell phone signals, you don't have to be near your car for it to work.

The application is free, but it requires some hardware be installed in the car, which costs several hundred dollars.
