Fair officials and visitors said all in all, this year's festivities did not disappoint.

"I loved it. There's lots of food. I love the chicken shish kabob, it's really good," said Vicki Ibarra of Fresno.

"It's different, its bigger. What can I say? I like it!" said Juan Damian of Los Angeles.

Chicken Charlie's sold 10,000 Zuchini Wini's at this year's fair. They said profits are about the same compared to last year.

Charlie himself is already preparing for 2010.

"What are you going to surprise us with next year?"

"Alright, you ready for this?"

"Yes."

"Deep fried peanut butter meatballs"

Fair officials haven't quite tallied up this year's attendance totals.

They said last week's storm held them back a bit, but that horse racing proved to be a big success. Local bets increased by 17-percent. "That's unprecedented, especially in this economy. But we've never had that much of a jump on track and the reason for that is that we were un-overlapped for the very first time," said Big Fresno Fair C.E.O. John Alkire.

Starting Monday fair officials will start making plans for next year's Big Fresno Fair. They promise more Mutton Bustin, additional horse races and bigger attractions. All things visitors say will keep them coming back year after year.

"I think I'm gonna start a tradition. Once a year, bungee jump. So this was 2009. Next year 2010," said Eva Lopez of Fresno.
