Visalia Bans Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

Fresno, CA A handful of medical marijuana supporters rallied outside Monday's city council meeting. They left disappointed. The council voted unanimously on a moratorium for medical marijuana facilities within the Visalia City limits.

The moratorium temporarily halts an effort by Bryan Ruiz who wants to open a dispensary in an empty warehouse. The city now has at least 45 days to update its ordinance.
