Marijuana Dispensary Owners Appear in Court

FRESNO, Calif. Some dispensaries re-opened this week after the federal government released new guidelines telling U.S. attorneys not to prosecute medical marijuana dispensary owners.

The City of Fresno is trying to permanently shut down the businesses, because marijuana is still outlawed under federal law.

A judge already granted a restraining order to close the operations on a temporary basis. A decision on whether to issue a permanent ban is expected soon.
