Bentley's Market Closed in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. Bentley's Market was closed Sunday and signs on the door said it would open Monday, but only for a liquidation sale.

The grocery store is the latest storefront to close in the shopping center on Friant and Fort Washington.

Just last month, the Bentley's Bistro also closed.

The owners said the slow economy forced them to focus on just the market.

Bentley's opened in 2006 and some economists wondered if people in Fresno spent enough money to support both Whole Foods and Bentley's.
